We Are NOT Our Body

So we focus,
On fixing our bodies,
Obsessively and to the extreme.
What does this really mean?
What happens,
To our brain,
Our faith,
Our wonderful heart,
Our dream?
Put aside for vanity?
It's a bit obscene!
We are not our bodies,
We are our soul,
Connected to others,
Love swirling this earth,
Happiness drifting into,
Life-altering hobbies.
To focus,
Solely on the body,
So much is lost.
Time,
It's our precious commodity,
Given as a gift.
So while we still have time,
Let's love all bodies!
